Hamish arrived in Mallorca onboard a sailing yacht in summer 2015 after a career in sports marketing, working on some of global sport´s most prestigious events including the Benetton Formula One team, the Johnny Walker Ryder Cup, the Olympic sponsorship programmes for IBM and UPS and Tracey Edwards Jules Verne Trophy circumnavigation attempt in the giant catamaran Royal & SunAlliance. In 2003, he moved into retail marketing for some of the UK´s biggest multi-outlet retailers.
Despite his intensive corporate career, his first love was always the sea having learnt to sail off the coast of Ireland when he was only a young boy. Hamish is an Ocean Yachtmaster and RYA qualified Coastal Instructor, a competition windsurfer, snowboarder and ski guide. He says he’s finally where he really wants to be: living in Mallorca where the sailing and the cycling – another passion – are top notch. Hamish’s extensive knowledge of sailing yachts allied to his corporate background made him the perfect choice to take on the new Sailing Yacht Broker role with Baxter Marine.

Cenk (pronounced “Jenk”) has spent his adult life working with, in, and on boats. Cenk followed in the footsteps of his father and brothers when he joined the Navy straight out of school. He was soon in a racing sailing team and even won some trophies before quitting the Naval Academy and beginning to work as a skipper in Southern Turkey. Cenk got his big break into commercial yachting when he was given a position on board the 138 metre “Savarona” (which was the largest private Super Yacht of its day). Working under the direction of legendary Super Yacht captain Richard Cookson Cenk flourished, eventually becoming a captain of a Super Yacht in his own right at the tender age of 29 (and in the process achieving his ambition to have his Class 4 ticket before he hit 30).
Life then took another turn for Cenk when he got the opportunity to move to Mallorca. Cenk loves living here, he says it’s good for his soul, “You just can’t ever be unhappy on this island; we are so lucky that we live in such a beautiful place”. In addition, Cenk enjoys working at Baxter Marine with the rest of the team, “I love the satisfaction of creating a successful business, and I love feeling that I have done my best for our clients”.
Cenk is married to the beautiful Cigdem and they have a lovely little boy, Kartal.
